about

Originally released in part over twenty years ago on the album "Before The Law" (Tzadik, 2001) my entire output derived from the writings of the great Franz Kafka consisted of over six hours of electro-acoustic interpretations, however, the record was restrained by the medium, as it were, to only 45 minutes. Being as it may, with the new state of the industry in the digital era, and, more importantly, after going through my own trial myself, I decided to revisit this work with a new and freshly traumatized ear. You will find new remasters, remixes, and additional interpretations of the great writer and prophet of the nightmare that is society as a whole, Franz Kafka.

Part of the "Wordless Worlds" series of electro acoustic compositions and sonic interpretations of the works of great storytellers, these pieces were composed and recorded during the late 90's and early 2000's, utilizing graphic notation (book forthcoming), analog tape and an EMU-E6400 for arranging and processing. Remastered in 2022.
